Actual native RegiStax wavelet tests from the same AS!4 10%-stack 1.5× drizzle TIFF. Nothing generated or painted in. The first three sliders were reduced 20% or 35% relative to the saved Oct 18 softer10 setting. All three pre-Topaz versions use the same RGB balance and 24% median finish.

1. Genuine RegiStax — full frames

Current genuine RegiStax, 20% softer, 35% softer, at 1:1 source pixels

2. Finished Gold Mid-style comparison

For a meaningful full-frame preview, each new native RegiStax upper globe is tone-matched to the existing Gold Mid master, with chroma-only smoothing. The original October 18 Gold Mid rings, Cassini Division, and background are unchanged. These two finished candidates are not fresh Topaz renders; the attempt to rerun Topaz did not produce usable output. This isolates the native wavelet test without inventing detail.

RegiStax source TIFFs, exact presets, and processing notes

Actual RegiStax 6 TIFFs: original, Test A, Test B. Native linear wavelet settings: initial layer 2, step 1, unlinked, Gaussian/blur options unchanged. Download the Test A preset or Test B preset.

RGB balance uses the original session gains; the pre-Topaz 16-bit controls use a consistent 76% genuine RegiStax + 24% 3×3 median. Gold Mid previews use the actual native outputs for the planet's upper interior, smooth low-frequency color matching to the existing real Gold Mid, and chroma-only smoothing; all other Gold Mid pixels are preserved where not inside the globe mask. Source and output manifest.
