Saturn, October 18 — 11:01 PM

NEW front-ring fix, experimental only — not a gallery replacement. The main target is the 11:01 PM capture. The new master combines the 11:01, 11:04 and 11:07 PM pre-Topaz recordings by true WinJUPOS planetary derotation, with 11:01 as the reference time.

What changed: The previous WinJUPOS warm trial has a suspicious front-ring and shadow transition. The NEW hybrid swaps the upper/lower globe for the smoother, warm WinJUPOS globe, retains exact original Balanced Final v2 pixels for the foreground ring system, gray C ring, Cassini Division, shadow crossing and Dione. A smooth elliptical globe-only mask and 8% conventional luminance denoise avoid a square or horizontal cut. No new sharpening, Nik, or Topaz pass. The previous WinJUPOS warm trial already includes mild conventional microcontrast.

Review: Examine the front rings and their shadow first, then the sharpness of the upper/lower globe. The existing favorite had Topaz sharpening in its original globe; this experimental globe does not. Smoothness can reflect noise reduction or loss of real fine detail.
